How it works

- 4Download — the signature is flattened into the page content, so every viewer shows it and it can’t be lifted off like a removable annotation.

Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded to sign it?+
No. The file and your signature never leave your device — signing happens entirely in your browser, and saved signatures live in your browser’s local storage, not on a server.
Can someone just delete my signature from the exported PDF?+
Not the way they can delete a normal annotation. On download the signature is drawn into the page content itself — it is not a selectable object that other editors can lift off with one click. Like any visual signature, including ink on scanned paper, it is not cryptographically tamper-proof.
Is this a certificate-based digital signature?+
No — it places a visual signature, like signing on paper, without certificates or identity verification. Image signatures are widely used for everyday paperwork; regulated workflows that require audit trails need a dedicated e-signature service.
Can I reuse my signature?+
Yes — up to five signatures are kept in your browser’s storage on this device and can be placed again with one click. They are never uploaded.
Can I sign a sideways scan?+
Yes. Rotate the page first, then place the signature — it stays upright exactly where you put it, both on screen and in the exported file.
