QOI (Quite OK Image Format)

QOI is a deliberately simple lossless format from 2021 — the entire specification fits on one page. It compresses to sizes comparable with PNG but encodes ~20–50× faster and decodes ~3–4× faster, which made it popular in game development and creative coding. Browsers do not display QOI natively, so convert to PNG or WebP for web use.
